unfortunately the so called "western world has also forsaken the gold standard." Sold their trade gold reserves to China, Russia and India.
Bin Laden was a business associate of the Bush's and welcomed by them to the US on several occasions.
America has been "acquiring" middle eastern oil for decades,so therefore, there are massive "American Interests " they feel they need, and duty bound, to protect.
