What are your theories about why the 3 major religions all started in the same place in the middle east?
Mine is that life was so totally crap there that it was easy to convince people to follow them with the promise of a better afterlife. What's yours?
Is it possible that it was because they had 'writing'
???? Don't think so. That'd be China.
Maybe we are looking at it backwards. Confusing cause with effect? Maybe instead of; Why did major religions start here? We ask; Why religions that started here became major religions?
I don't think so - I'm interested to know why all 3 which took over originated in the same area, not why they became major. Anyway, on a tangent, do you have any theories as to why they became major, as you asked the question?
That's a good question and since I introduced it I should have an answer. But I don't. It would be easier to answer; How they became major.
they were all practically copied word for word from the summarian texts written 5000 years earlier, differences are in two translations and original text is gone, not to mention the catholic church and our governments are keeping our real history from us, we are dna altered by annunaki fro workers to mine gold, that's it, and they tool our vital dna and left it dormant so we cannot connect with source unless enlightened
OK, we really don't need comments like this on a site dedicated to not believing in the supernatural.
how can we even debate text written before the bible or koran? how can we doubt the megalithic sites all across the planet built on ley lines with astronomical alighnments? How can we debate bones of nephalim the smithstonian found and wrote about and then destroyed? they wanted to create a softer story of a way of life to pass down to prevent anarchy and promote unity, all the practices came through though, the archetechs of the old gothic cathedrials, the sound resonance of the materials used to build and sone still work today. the cutting and moving 1100ton stones hundreds of miles and of course the serpent, aka enki. why would god want us a dumb species? he wouldn't, so maybe the serpent was the good guy to allow us to advance, I cannot believe in a vengeful hateful cut up pour kid and blast citys and people to kingdom come being a nice guy, read the jade tablets, or sitchens work or micheal tellingers studys on u tube. Africa was a gold mine and garden of eden at adams calender, and 10,000,--- gold mines 100,000+ mines have been found there, were children of the stars, literally. Doesn't hurt top have a open mind. Isnt that why we are all here, we question what were taught because it doesn't add up, but why quit searching when we find something that scares us, or makes us think outside the box
I quit searching when I was in my teens. And now I'm an adult I get on with my life - being kind and leaving something positive. Your comments about a "god" which you believe in, are just the same to me as all the other religious rants. Bye.
The major religions started there because that was where the most people were because the weather supported agriculture, without which there is no settled life. And when you have neighbors, you need rules. Rules self-enforced by "beliefs" are a lot easier to impose. Voila!
Why is that "where the most people were"? What about Africa, the most fertile part of the planet, and the masses in China who were producing paper and other technology while the arabs in the middle east were still herding goats? Not convinced by this theory.
and, adams calander and enkis garden of eden and the site of the original cloning of what we are today is at 31o, the same as giza, these people were using travel and mining tech we can't replicate today, and did it 200,000 years ago, all about the gold, we were slaves to mine for them
@DennisYoakum - Please get some rest.
The Mosque of Omar is located on the platform above the Temple Mount-Inside the mosque is the boulder where Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac? The same boulder is where Allah ascended to heaven? The Via Dolorosa is the path where Jesus was carried on the cross? All in Jerusalem. Been there-seen it-actual history or Biblical bullshit?
This doesn't explain why people were so easily convinced to follow - such things were no doubt happening all over the world.
the original translation of the bible was a sloppy attempt of someone not understanding of the Hebrew language. numeric values were essestial, and in the first verse of genesis was mistranslated by leaving out a "a"" that was to start all words for power and it should have said the god created the gods who came to earth, god was Elohim plural and feminine, can't debate word meanings, if the book of enoch wouldn't have been omitted in translation it would make better sense if you have the mind to search the truth. I'm just sick of all religions and governments telling me what the truth is and what to believe when written in stone writings all over the world concur, why are we this much asleep as to not search ouit and demand the truth
The three major major religions are all spin-offs of the Abrahamic religion of the early Hebrews.
Cult of Isis. Zoroasterism, the One God theory from Egypt circa Tuthankamon/en......all predate the Hebrews buy many centuries!
None of this explains why in the middle east?
the middle east, cairo is at a noode of magnetic ley lines needed and used by the ancients, right now they are excavating gobecci techpi 14000 bc before the disaster, and they are finding evidence of multiple meteor strikes, one Greenland which spewed enough ice far enough to flash freeze mammoths with food in their mouths still standing, and one crater in minnisota and one in Carolina bay, and this led to the flood and the following unexplained ice age of 13000 bc to 10900. the equator would be the place to be at that time of a mini ice age.
The Jews were enslaved there. Many other philosophies, religions and practices made their way through an area where other cultures' borders met. Once the Jewish people were freed this collage of pagan religions split into the main three. Romans eventually adopted Catholicism as was a Roman custom (accepting new gods helped branch and expand their empire) however judeo-christian religions offered an "easy" ticket to heaven so it gained dominance.
But why in the middle east? Of course other religions/cultures were practising throughout the world at the same time.
I think people can be very colourful with the truth. the bones of the bible may well be true too. in those days the biggest powers were out that way too. every country has beliefs or religions. also, the likes of the united kingdom went around the planet forcing it down peoples throats literally.
I don't agree that the "biggest powers" were there at that time - China? Egypt? The much maligned and almost unknown magnificent kings of Africa? How is it possible to ignore all this? So why the middle east?
well, I didn't say all the biggest powers and I did say maybe. the Christian religion was so powerful like I say the likes of Great Britain went around the globe forcing it on people when we were the most powerful country or one of.
virgin I haven't got a clue. I can't see a trash symbol
The cradle of civilization was in the Nile valley, the Fertile Crescent and Indus Valley. It’s no surprise, really, that they developed her because the the native religions were very closely tied to nature. When the urban class began to question their simple cosmology, they developed more evolved religious frameworks-monotheism and dualism. It took a settled relatively urban environment.
The same was going on in several other places in the world - Africa, China - way more ahead of the arab areas.
Not really. It occurred in mesdoamerica and in the Peruvian highlands and China. But they were far later developments. There is jeroft, but that’s speculative at best.
Sumeria 4000 BC
Egypt 3500 BC
IVC 3300 BC
Yellow River 1900 BC
Norte Chico 3300 BC-there is a lot of controversy about this. Typically it the chavin civilation that’s identified as the first civilization of s.america.
Olmec-1600 BC
Not really
You can get the same information from any textbook from any world history class in college or high school in the US. The only thing that new is Norte Chico. I took that course in 1977. The archeology for Norte Chico hadn’t been completed by then. And I’ve read o a limited degree on Chavin.
I also took a course in Mexican History which led to my knowledge of the Olmecs. So.....
