Beyond the superficial scope of the conscious mind exists the subconscious which is a corridor to the Ether-conscious mind. A side trip through the imagination can be exhilarating as well and a fun place to linger for hours at a time.
"Side trip through the imagination" on which side?
I would question the warrant whereby you felt justified in pressing the value judgment "superficial" against consciousness. Evidence suggests that the subconscious functions to serve. Your notion of "etheric-consciousness" is purely mystical and cannot be corroborated.
@DonaldHRoberts Somebody has to!
@DonaldHRoberts The problem with your reasoning is that it all takes place in the consciousness you denigrate as being "superficial".
I think you mean æther (an imaginary substance thought one to be the matter of souls)
Ether is a chemical compound (an anesthetic), and being exposed to it will leave your mind anything but conscious
