So, I was wondering if anyone else had read Dr. Terry Wahls' books on nutrition/special diets for autoimmunity? I've done most of her suggestions, and pushed my ANA numbers for Lupus into remission. I would consider that fairly successful, considering that 4 years ago my Lupus nephritis was bad enough doctors were discussing whether or not I would live through a kidney transplant (recovered enough kidney function to not need more than temporary support, thank goodness).

This is the Paleo diet? I feel much better when i avoid wheat & starches, my type II is controlled better as well.

Mostly, but more avoidance of starchy roots like carrots and yams that are allowed on most variations of Paleo. It's kind of like a cross between Paleo and Ketogenic.

I haven't but I am interested. I am having autoimmune symptoms like psoriasis and Hashimoto, so I will give it a close look. Also worth looking at is Steven Gundry's book.
