Has anyone here read "the marching morons" by C.M Kornbluth from 1951?
The book is an eerie preview of america ,today. It posits the rise of a population of morons with enough inertia to overwhelm intelligence thru sheer numbers. It was a precursor to "Idiocracy" and while a lot of th language it archaic today still packs a powerful vision of a future dominated by morons.
It's controversial and a lot of the 'scientific facts" in it are outdated, but still an interesting read.
It's free on the net.
I recall reading a short Sci/Fi story when I was in high school , where the morans were the bosses and in charge of everything , but the intelligent underlings actually ran the globe . Wish I could recall the name of the story .
Could be TMM.
