I just finished Borne by Jeff Vandermeer and now I am reading the first book in his Southern Reach Trilogy. I am not a big sci fi person, but I do enjoy a good post apocalyptic dystopian novel. Has anyone else read his work?

Any science fiction fans here? My all-time favorite book, of ANY catagory, is DUNE, by Frank Herbert, but lately I've been reading the Galaxy's Edge series, by Jason Anspach and Nick Cole. If you like military sci-fi, it's a very entertaining series.

Is anyone else on Goodreads? I keep all my read and to-read titles there and would love to compare notes. Will send a link to my profile to anyone who's interested in connecting.

Any Dan Brown fans? Are you expecting another addition to the Robert Langdon series? Or will Origin be the last one?

Anyone really into reading apocalyptic fiction right now? Do you have any favorites or recommendations? I'm always looking for more book ideas. I just finished this for the 2nd time and love the absurd craziness.

I've always loved The Phantom Toll Booth and now my daughter does too. Does anyone remember the movie? I saw that before reading the book.

Anyone have a favorite antidote book? Something that bucks you up when you're feeling nasty? I love the novels of PG Wodehouse, Tom Sharpe and the essays of Dave Barry. Anyone else have suggestions?

I recently re-read a book by John Green called "The Fault of the Stars", which is about some kids who all have cancer. It is surprisingly entertaining and not relly a downer kind of read, but fun and a little adventurous.

Let me put this out there... is the bible, at least the King James version, worth reading simply for its language? I find such turns of phrase as "and darkness was upon the face of the deep" almost poetic in their expression...

Don't take this as a criticism, but not every voracious reader likes to feel quizzed (I had to Google the MC1R thing, never having had red hair or even known anyone with red hair). But if you want a very tiny book group, sure, go ahead. I read so ...
