It's not a joke, Canada is currently piling up snow this winter to build an ice wall like the one in Game of Thrones. The hedge can come later. lol
@Surfpirate An M-2 will take care of that snow wall. 
@TheGreatShadow and that's why we like the Yanks to stay on their side of the hedge, shoot first and think second. 
@Surfpirate An M-2 is a flame thrower. I think it is still classified as a firearm tho because it uses cartridges to ignite it. A class IV I think . Machine guns are class III (known as select).
@TheGreatShadow That's one of the big differences between Canadians and Americans, even though we both like guns and own a lot of them compared to the rest of the modern world countries, Canadians see them as a tool but Americans see them as a weapon.
@Surfpirate The last statistic I read was something like 1/3 Americans own a firearm, and the ones that do usually don't own just one. The only country that is more heavily armed than the US I think is Switzerland. The reason why is almost everyone has to sign up for the military. Most are required to have a firearm.
Certain weapons are designed for different applications. You are not going to go hunting deer with a 22 LR. I usually use a 30-06, but sometimes a 30-30. The M-2 has it's own purpose. I think the Geniva Convention banned them in/around Vietnam. Those were used to spray napalm. I don't know why you would want one (unless you are a collector). Tank explosions were not that uncommon.
