Quebec Prime Minister said "All French Canadians are Catholic". Not me! Mister Legault, the 1950's called, they want their outdated ideas back!

My French Canadian wife just laughed and laughed when I showed her this. Idiots in Government.
In the last decades, Quebec went from the "Grande Noirceur" (Great Darkness) to the "Révolution Tranquille". Looks like some nostalgic folks would like to go back in time.

its been a few years since i last drove through Quebec and I was struck by how few hills & towns seemed to have crosses anymore.
Seems to me that very few Quebecers are still actual active catholics. A much larger number of people say they are non-practicing catholics and a growing number of people like me are openly atheists. Some people even talk about a general "soft apostasy" going on.
Very few people still go to church every sundays. They mostly only go for events like baptisms, first communions, weddings and funerals. Every year, many churches and presbitaries are demolished or decomissioned and repurposed. Lots of parishes mergers, priests having to take care of many of them and even a growing number of priests coming from overseas to help them out.
