BBC Media Action: Britain’s overseas info warfare unit

Leaked documents reveal how a shadowy BBC unit is “embedding” staff in foreign media outlets to “contest the information space” and generate “behaviour change” in favor of London’s geopolitical objectives.

Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine in BBCMA’s crosshairs

In February 2021, The Grayzone exposed how BBCMA managed covert programs training journalists and cultivating influencers in Russia and Central and Eastern Europe, while helping produce news and entertainment programming for local media outlets pushing pro-NATO messaging. These activities were funded by the British Foreign Office, forming part of a wider clandestine effort by London to “weaken the Russian state’s influence” at home and in neighboring states.

Another previously unreported component of this malign initiative saw BBCMA channel £9 million ($12.8 million) in government funds from 2018 to 2021 into “innovative… media interventions” which targeted citizens of Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine via “radio, independent social media channels, and traditional outlets.” The project was managed and coordinated directly by BBCMA from BBC Broadcasting House, in London. Thomson Reuters Foundation, the global newswire’s “non-profit” wing, supported the effort via Reuters offices in Kiev and Tbilisi.

BBCMA and the Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF) operatives met in private every four months to discuss the operation’s progress with representatives of the Foreign Office, and British embassies in the three target countries. In advance of the project, the pair leveraged their “strong profile” in Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to conduct “broad consultations” with neighborhood news outlets, media organizations and journalists.

The National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (UABC) was offered “essential support,” aimed at “improving its existing programs” and “developing new and innovative formats for factual and non-news programs.” The broadcaster was reportedly “very interested” in BBCMA developing a “new debate show” and “discussion programming” on its behalf. Additionally, BBCMA was “already working on building the capacity” of nationalist Ukrainian outlet Hromadske, which was also receiving funding from the US government via USAID.

I would hope most people are now aware of how our own {US} CIA infiltrated our medias as early as the 60s. Intelligence agencies manipulating our information delivery isn't new to you? I would hope! They now operate, along with our military, in basically every menu of broadcasting in regards to radio, TV, Hollywood, and social media companies. Movies, TV series, and books highly scrutinized not to provide particular information, free however to project any mis/disinformation that benefits the machine.

Off the top of my head would be the Steele dossier and 911 commission report. The SD having been exposed as highly being falsely full of accusations without evidence to support an illusion. I shared a video back then of Aaron Mate's take down of Luke Harding from the Guardian who wrote a book on it echoing all the same bullshit our medias were using. Harding eventually realizing his bullshit was going over with Aaron, he abruptly left the interview. He couldn't provide a single bit of evidence to back up the claims he and the media were spewing, only tossing more unsubstantiated accusation as attempts to answer the rebuttals.

The 911 CR lacking a ton of trial statements, first responder statements the morning of, 28 pages of Saudi involvement, evidence in regards to the terrorist activities having been known, and suppressing that information from the FBI. Still today when 911 comes around, the projected commentary lacks any genuine substance to that day. We just get the story line that was developed for what they want you to believe. None of the common sense questions that have been brought up over all these years have been addressed. The first responder statements have never been heard in the media or come from the lips of them or our representation since that week. I recently viewed a documentary that included them, a fucking lot of them! With a host of other highly questionable players involved in the story from cronyism involving family members and representatives and beneficial monetary actions in those regards and corporations. Highly suggesting there was knowledge of that day coming. The CR didn't address any of that. And they had to know it was coming. The investigation was a cover up scam on multiple levels.

Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine

I think it was the GWB administration when Georgia and Russia had a short flair up war. Late 2008 I believe. Moldova elections in 2024. Incitement of color revolutions in both cases. Both of these countries have recently been in the European news, RT as I following them anyways. Intelligence agencies working along side of NGOs and media think tanks creating chaos with hopes of turning these countries into NATO states. Moldova for example pulled off a scam election in 2024 by suppressing citizen votes in Russia by 100s of thousands. They sent a mere 10,000 ballots to cover those citizens participation. The current president with a background of being highly tied to George Soros. She just banned the opposition party a few days ago as this new election cycle is taking place. Opposition opponents in 2021 were jailed. She's pro European while the citizenship is highly pro Russia with the opposition. It's another case of 2014 Ukraine.

Georgia has been going through a series of protest for a couple of years now. The goon squads have been sent in from surrounding regions as the government required NGOs to register as foreign agents. They have sense the past turned back to pro Russia. Europe wants it back and has denounced the law of registration as a foreign agent. As the government has grown tired of the attempts to start another color revolution there. Recognize how that works though! Western governments who force media and NGOs they oppose of to register as foreign agents, but deny other countries who display a real sense of democracy can not. On one hand you see a fight against factual information coverage, opposing views. On the other, you see the right to interfere with democracy and sovereignty with mis/disinformation. Then accusations of the legitimate country staging violence and chaos created by the criminals. It's a repeated cycle everyone should recognize by now.
