In response to "beach slim's" sarcastic post: I have made that observation in several of my posts in relation to the word "Socialism" being used ironically by fascist (authoritarian) governments historically.eg. "National Socialism" & "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" I pointed out that this is a propaganda vehicle to represent themselves as a permissive, "Socialist" society, Hence, in the 40s and 50s and 60s especially, our own right-wing orgainizations, such as the "House Un-American Activities Committee" took advantage of this to villanise Socialism and equate it to Communism, which have no relation to each other, However the uneducated and uninformed voting public (like Trump's base, the toothless idiots who gather in droves whenever he wants to press a propaganda point to a captive audience, instead of giving a News Conference, as all other presidents have done) are witless suckers for this kind of devisive rhetoric. -locontempt

Socialism has been demonized for over a century at this point, most by the rich and conservatives of all sorts.
@Beach_slim Theoretically, Socialism wants equality or wealth sharing. Whether it works is up to the human beings who exercise it. True Marxism has never really existed, and it was never "Communism" I think the best societies at least make a stab at Socialist systems. Unfortunately every system is invariably betrayed by the greed for wealth and power by people who call themselves Politicians.
@Beach_slim I'm afraid I don't quite get that one.
