He was free spirit and a bit of a rebel. The guy who did him in is out of prison. John's still dead. Chalk that up to "life is not fair".

Sadly, Chapman did shoot J.L.; happily you're wrong; he was denied Parole;

@Robecology I might have gotten him mixed up with Hinckley. Him or some other high profile felon. Thanks for the correction.
@Paganpaddy Yes, Hinkley was set free in 2022....even though his shooting caused the death of one of Reagan's entourage.
