Religious worship is for individuals who choose it – not for nations or legislative bodies.
separation of church and state is something I feel strongly about. Glad to see the UK is taking steps toward it.
Our founding fathers having see theocracy at work made sure to keep it separate. Those power hungry preachers want power history has taught us that . The burning of Alexandra was initiated by a power hungry bishop in Egypt . Never trust religious people who want to rule they are dangerous, still true today. No state religion
There is no separation of Church and State in the UK. The Queen is the head of the state (granted figuratively) and she is the head of the Church of England. It is a little stuck in the past and birth is more important than personal success. My sisters both live in London and I really enjoy visiting but they are pretty backward and mostly do not even notice. It is the European country where it is the hardest to advance out of your class because private schools like Harrow, Eaton etc. fill most of the colleges like Oxford or Cambridge. While it has gotten better, there is still a long way to go.
