Due to a ruling by the Oregon State Supreme Court, being nude is a right under the state constitution. However, the wording of the ruling isn't all that clear. If you are protesting, no problem, you can be totally nude. In other cases it isn't as clearly defined. However, so far, anyone who has challenged being ticketed or an arrest for simply being nude in Oregon since that ruling has had the case dismissed, so it appears that it is legal to be nude in any public place in the state. That being said, public sexual acts are still illegal and are classified differently, and are not protected.

The Annual World Naked Bike Ride in Portland has over 10,000 riders each year (excepting the pandemic years).

Personally, I have no hang ups about nudist. US is predominantly Christians and 5 of their top ten sins are sexual related as worst sins. In church they love comparing clothing and every state have tried converting gays into straight, with only 1 or 2% success rate. Luckily things are rapidly changing for nonbelievers, nudes and gays.

@Castlepaloma Yeah, for the "conversion therapy" the suicide rates are higher than the "cure" rates. Of course they define "cure" as no longer having sex, even if they have homosexual desires. As long as they don't act on them, they count that as a "cure". However the 1% cure rate correlates with the number of persons who could be classifies as Asexual (persons who lack sex drive or sexual desire), so if one takes that into account, their "cure" rates are actually even lower than 1%.

Actual scientific information is so damaging to what they believe.
