That is basically my experience as well. It's natural and you just feel at peace with nature. I tend to prefer private nudist clubs, as pretty much everyone at the clubs has that kind of outlook.

I've seem that in some places as well. If I can I prefer (family friendly) nudist clubs where most of those types are either weeded out or they refrain out of fear of losing their membership. At the nudist clubs they can "respectfully request" people leave if they are creepy or misbehave, because they are private clubs.

Public beaches are "public", which means they attract all types. Being a gay man, I have often accompanied women to local nude beaches to help them feel safer. It is a shame that in some cases/places that is a necessary precaution.

Another reason I prefer nudist clubs is they usually have hiking trails, so there is more to do than just lay in the hot sun and swim. Of course day use fees cost a lot more than the nude beach parking fees, but I too would rather avoid the pervs and enjoy the day, rather than deal with being approached. Yeah, some of us guys get approached by pervs too.
