Hi all, me again
My 2nd article with Exclusively Games was published recently. Feel take a peak if you are interested. (They have got my name right this time
Let me know what you think, as feedback is always welcome.
The title is: “3 Video Game Franchises that Devolved Over Time.”
Is there a lot of discussion about those franchises in the mainstream? I get the inkling that it's just going to lead to bad reboots or remakes that make the same usual mistakes.
Anyway, none of the franchises mentioned are still relevant today, and they were only popular because of an unoriginal collection of strong points, which are mischaracterized in quality.
One person might know about every asset of the game, know how the software works, etc. and they would be able to tell every damned thing about the game that is good or not. Those people are usually too smart to be critics because they are extremely detail-keen, have great considerative ability and have reasoning that deeply interweaves across such huge information, and they can connect that information with other universes too. In other words, "one person" has a brain.
We kinda need to take the opinion of the first person more seriously, if we want better releases. We can't always read what that person has to say, or hear him talk, and ask "What do you mean?". That's fucking annoying and draining, just think about what he means, you'll get it, and it's worth it because he's telling the truth.
Another person might just be thinking about the fun factor.
A third kind of person might be a critic, or, god forbid, a gaming journalist, and they really just say whatever is normal or whatever they want. They're not really keen to give new perspectives beyond craic, informed craic, etc. ...it's actually really mind-numbing to just hear the voice of the masses, rather than a real voice. There has to be an alternative and people should be encouraged to deliberate on their thinking more, to create a more generatively inventive host culture.
