I'm not familiar enough yet with Warcraft or what Blizzard / Activision are doing to it to have a valid opinion on it, sorry.

What's your's, and what are they doing to it? I'm always interested to hear what people think about what is going on in gaming and the world in general

@Nomad I hate when I lose what I was writing because I switch apps or something.

Basically, they took their most iconic game and wrecked it. It had a modding community that rivaled Skyrim and created the MOBA, so they added a section to the EULA that claimed all custom maps and mods as Blizzard's intellectual property. They "updated" the graphics and in the process removed the unique style in favor of generic Raid: Shadow Legends BS while also breaking things like shadows if you switch back to old graphics. They promised new voice lines, a redone story, and hours worth of new cinematics then left all the same except one that's arguably worse (not to mention fan created IIRC). They oversimplified the menus and made it harder to set up custom games locally. They introduced tons of other bugs in the process. And the worst part? There's no going back. If you manage to install an old copy of the game off of a CD or something, the moment you go online, it will download the "update" and replace your 2GB masterpiece with a bloated 30GB monstrosity. Oh, and their idea of an apology is "We're sorry some people didn't get the experience they wanted." And they tried to keep people from getting refunds until the consumer protection laws and sheer volume of requests forced them to automate refunds.

They can help you understand why Warcraft 3 Reforged is now the worst user rated game on metacritic. The saddest part is, it was almost predictable because of how Blizzard has declined over the years. People can debate what the beginning of the end was, but it's very obvious with their numerous recent failures and soulless cash grabs that they are no longer worth supporting.
