Separately, in Canberra we have a roundabout painted in rainbow/Pride colours in honour of when our government finally made same sex marriage equal. We also have an openly gay Chief Minister. So, Sydney does have bragging rights about its Mardi Gras, but little old Canberra holds it own when it comes to LGBTQ.
