The only thing I miss...
...I have nieces and nephews who are teenagers that I've never even met because my siblings are still JW's. Anyone else find themselves in this situation? How sad and fucked up is that?
They all know that when they're old enough to hang out with me, if they want to hang out with me (after being of age and able to leave the JW's), they'll be welcome.
No, my mom was raised catholic, and as far as I know, everyone on that side of the family is catholic. She got baptized as a JW when I was two years old but nobody excommunicated her. Too bad catholics stopped recognizing what a loving provision shunning is huh? My dad wasnโt religious and I donโt know any of his family today but itโs not because of religion.
Yes my whole family is JW. Iโve been disfelowshiped for 22 years. When I left my youngest sister was 13. My other sister has kids now.
Yep my two youngest sisters and my youngest brother are JW's and they all have kids. I've been disfellowshipped since 1988. My sister's were teenagers at the time and my brother was only 8 or so. It's sad what the religion does to families.
