They can also get support there too - they have support groups just for family members/friends. Make the call for you though - and maybe pass along the number to a family member that seems interested.
We got thru this with my niece (I'm an ally though so I was I all "Yeah so we have a niece now!".). And we worked on our pronouns. And tried not to do dead-naming.
Some were more ahead of the curve than others. But thankfully everyone was on board.
I know not all families are like that.
My SO Is trans and has pretty much left her biological family behind. So there are a lot of ways this happens.

They were doing in person meet ups usually in your nearest city center - but I bet with the pandemic they're doing Zoom style meets.

My niece and her wife both went and found them helpful when she first transitioned - and I've phoned their helpline more than once when I needed information for my Fiancee. They've been good people.
