I really agree with this person's views: [theguardian.com]
Quite a few valid points. Too much that's important gets tarnished by the realities of corporate greed and "money talks."
Pride remains important, because visibility is important, but no single month of party events and feature shows replaces the need for hard work year round, and it practically requires a private eye to investigate which corporate entities, if any, are sincere, and which are just cynically latching on to events for som feel-good pr.
I guess think twice before buying any merch.
I never buy any merch and volunteer with an Equality Center for entry to the Festival. Corporations have demonstrated they will sell us out in a second if sales will be higher for them.
