I am a lesbian and very early on after coming out in the early 1990's I realized one important thing. If you are interested in a woman you need to reach out and say hi. You start a conversation and introduce yourself. If she is interested she will let you know. Likewise, if she is not. So be easy, go with the flow and say hello.

I guess it’s a symptom of society still overcoming gender rolls. Men doing the courting, women being courted... Same sex dating causes a lot of weird moments due to this, at least in my experience.

I wonder if it is the bi label. I've heard some lesbians look down on us. (unless it is other bisexuals you've been trying with?) I've never dated women only slept with them so I don't think I'm much help. I don't have much experience with women and it's been at least 7 years since I've had any. I knew one, one was from craigslist (my own post) and another was from a gay bar (I was recognized from an online hornymatches profile). I'd like to go out and find a woman offline but I'm married and many females don't like just hooking up. Not to mention the gay bar is now closed and I can't tell if they are into other girls just by looking at them.
