@PalacinkyPDX I don’t even think firing is the right response. From reading the story it kinda sounds like the flight attendant was asked by the couple if someone could be moved so they could sit together, and the attendant saw two guys and figured it was two straight dudes that wouldn’t mind being separated. Then she got defensive and handled it poorly after that. The attendants need to be put through some training to be more sensitive to 21st century couplings and not and be blinded by their heteronormativity.

@PalacinkyPDX As a bartender in a hotel with airline contracts and as a passenger, I have typically found flight attendants rude, entitled and often unpleasant. Sure it’s a hard job but nobody’s forcing them to do that job. I think very little of airlines and flight attendants so this story doesn’t surprise me. And right now I’m sleep deprived. The incident should never have happened.

@sophmag Flight attendants are primarily in the customer service industry so rude behavior is completely inexcusable. I personally don't fly much, but have flown a lot in my lifetime and I can say that my typical experience has been pleasant.
