@AncientNight I fully agree. It's why I still try to calmly reason with them, in the hope they can see that their divisiveness does nothing but hurt us all. I'm continually shocked at the religious adherence to such false dogma, and lose a little faith in the future when it smacks me in the face. TERFs, flat-earthers, fundamentalists, moon landing deniers... how can we advance as a society when the fringe loons are given such a large platform to spew their ignorance and vitriol? We have been conditioned to react to simplistic arguments and ignore thought-out ones, which gives rise to the current administration, and its support of exclusive simplicity, and thus giving rise to the ignorant divisiveness we see at the forefront every day. We are rapidly descending into an idiocracy.

@Sairavana I think the large platform for the loons has everything to do with our infotainment culture, that now expects every news topic to be, not only sensationalist, but also reduced to the simplest of bumper-sticker-worthy sound bites. (Sigh)
