Do what feels right to you. And keep in mind, someone can be a trans-woman or trans-man without surgery or hormones. That may play into things more in the future.

I'm all for your gender being whatever you sincerely declare it to be. I'm still old school enough to say that you can generally determine sex by looking in your underpants. Yes, I know it's more complicated than that in some cases (as someone with a bona-fide intersex condition, I'm well aware of this) but for the vast majority, who do not have a diagnosis of an intersex condition and who've had no surgical or hormonal intervention in their lives, that simple test, and its binary outcome, holds true.

If that's where you feel comfortable (or as comfortable as you can be with the big churning thing going round and round in your head) right now then that's all that matters, that might be what you want be permanently and that's more than OK too.
It's an interesting one because in some senses it's just an identifier and doesn't really matter but in other senses it really matters because misgendering is a bit like a kick in the head on bad days, but at least it gives you a chance to think about it even if there is no genuinely satisfactory answer to the question.
