FIRST TIME i went to a gay bar, I went with a friend of mine...around '78 or '79. It was a HOT summer night, and most people were in shorts, and almost all the guys had their shirts off...NOT a big deal. And i was VERRRRY shy...i felt out of place...sort of. But i TRULY felt free...mentally. i wasn't there to pick anybody up...i just went with him, because he asked me if i wanted to go...that was it. i didn't think of it as a pickup place. So, i got myself a beer and sat outside on the patio in the back. It was all fenced in, and private. It was cooler outside. Anyway, a guy walked up to me and asked me if he could massage my feet...i literally had NO idea what to say. So he grabbed my foot and started massaging it...OMG...it was incredible. Another guy sat down next to me...and i noticed that he had his nipples pierced...OMG...i LITERALLY felt the pain of that. But...he said it was cool...no pain. MEANWHILE...i had to pay attention to the guy with my foot...he was literally turning me on...and i wanted my foot back, lol. But...he wouldn't let me have it...he just kept on massaging one spot on my foot...and wouldn't let go. He said...EVERYBODYS feet are sensual...and yours seem to be EXTREMELY sensuous...OR SOMETHING like that. He kept up his massage for about another five minutes...and he had to go...but he asked me for my phone number. WHERE it went to from there...is the kind of thing we don't talk about in public...but...WOW. LOL.
The first time I went to a gay bar started out by going to a LGBTQ bookstore in Charlotte, Nc. I made it around the front room just looking and left after a few minutes. 2nd trip, I managed to pick out a book and go into the next room to pay for it.
I saw a notice on the bulletin board advertising a Lesbian meet and greet for women over 40. I called Charlene got the date of the next meeting and directions to her home. I felt "at home" for the first time In my life.
Made lots of friends and of course we hit the few lesbian and gay bars in Chalotte. So much fun dancing the nite away with loving friends.
I didn't come out till I was 47. Never ever looked backwards. I was home at last.
Omg... I love it... Good for you!!!
@Bungaloebob thank you!
My first time in a gay bar, I had no idea I was in one. I was walking around in San Francisco with some friends and I believe I was a teenager, but I had a pretty decent mustache, so I looked "of age." I only went in to use the toilet and it took more than a minute to realize there were no women there. Even though I was only in there for a little while once I realized where I was I was all excited that I "snuck" in somehow. Nothing happened, but it was like peeking into a whole different world for me. Odd because now that I live in NYC and I CAN go into gay bars so many of them are just not interesting to me, but that's more because I'm old and I don't like loud music.
My first time was Halloween '09. I met a guy who asked to feel my stockings. There was a woman who asked if I had a profile on horny matches. When I said yes she told her girlfriend "I told you'd I'd recognize someone from their picture!" The story that follows would be for another group ?
