Fair or not? My rightwing B-in-L posted something on FB and used what appears to be the transgender banner color scheme as the background color. Apparently may other irghties have picked this up as well, thinking it is a version of the stars and stripes. I want to congratulate him for his openess but the wife says no flame wars in the family. Is this fair?
Maybe educate him without sarcasm. By letting him know it doesn't mean what he thinks it does. If she has a problem with that. Then that's her problem.
Strongly agree. He needs to know what it represents.
If it can be done gently through a private message to prevent embarrassment - that's great. (If it's something touchy and you don't want to shame them).
Maybe they just don't have someone in their life to tell them. Though why his wife didn't tell him IDK? She really could have.
But you still can.
@RavenCT It's MY wife who told me-his sister. But I've been told to keep my mouth shut so I'll just snicker to myself.
@RonWilliam53 Oh Ok! Let him find out on the playground huh?
