See a therapist that specializes in Transgender issues, then have them write you a letter of recommendation for HRT, then pick a doctor that prescribes HRT meds (Planned Parenthood is who I use, and they no longer require a letter of recommendation, just bloodwork, which they do there also), and they should be covered under your regular health insurance. Or, technically, you could just make an appointment with Planned Parenthood and start a week after your bloodwork comes back. Hope this helps, sis!

@Kafirah Yeah, I would go to Planned Parenthood, but they don't offer HRT in Indiana. I would have to find a doctor to do it. Planning on going to a clinic that offers it, about a 45 minute drive, to talk to someone there to set-up an appointment since I haven't heard back from them at all. I can get the letter easily, it's just setting up the appointment is what is holding me back. I've had so many issues with it.

@NekoYuji Yeah, getting the appointment sucks!!! Took me two weeks to get anyone on the phone, and then another month for my first appointment to get my bloodwork done, then another week before seeing anyone to get prescribed, then three days for the scripts to be ready... Like I haven't wasted enough time trying to get here...

@Kafirah Yeah true, I've been waiting for maybe about 2 months or so. It's getting frustrating, and when I talked to the support group I go to someone suggested to walk in and talk to them. Hopefully I don't have to wait that much longer.
