Gay Man Says Church Members Pinned Him Down to Pray the Gay Away
I entered a heterosexual marriage out of pressure by family, church, and fear of being discovered. She knew ahead of marriage that I was struggling with my gayness. I was a new ordained Baptist minister who just wanted to teach Jesus. We both believed in "pray the gay away."After 18 years of misery with no miracle, plus having gone through a semi exorcism, after 4 children, we mutually ended the marriage. I lost all, and learned to mistrust the evangelical church. I no longer attend any church, nor believe as I was taught. I am an Agnostic by experience. People may believe what they want. But, to force their culture on others is low, disgusting, and wrong!
Anyone ever try's to pin me down against my will, will be wishing for a miracle. I DO NOT PLAY THAT!
