Does this aggravate as much as it does me?
Church building used to host a social issues event, as they often are. But the "host" then has the power to mistreat speakers he is personally prejudiced against. I wrestle with ambivalence on how broadly to condemn churches for this kind of shitty behavior, knowing that some do try hard to be inclusive, yet these kinds of abusive incidents, as well as countless micro-aggressions, happen over and over. Grrr.
