We used to have some gay coffee shops and book stores, but alas, they're gone. Plus, my age is certainly a negative. It helps to have this site on which to share feelings like this though. Thank you for posting.

@KateZilla I was in Chicago once, and it appeared that their gay community was absolutely thriving. So I think it is better in large cities.
