As I age, I am subject to hereditary loss of hearing. I especially have a hard time filtering out what is said in noisy settings but can hear a dog bark a mile down the road in the still of the night.
I haven't dated for six years, but my last BF told me that I needed to get a hearing aid. My response was, "Why? I don't care if I can hear you or not."
