A good reason to pare down the list or have one group for thanksgiving and a different for Christmas. I don't have any worries, we normally have a small local family gathering of my ex, my son, his wife and our granddaughter. We share the cooking and rotate whose house is stuck hosting.
That's the thanksgiving spirit. I wonder how many that exclude family for political views invite new arrivals to the table in celebration of the holiday.
I stopped inviting people that just want to argue years ago, even those that agree with me. I'd rather have a quiet dinner than drama. As far as spirit goes, if I'm going to host, I chose who I invite.
