Seeing this documentary again has made it clear to me the allure of metal. It is American Football in musical form. Where one can express their rage, frustration, angst, war like fervor without actually engaging in it. Except for rare instances, metal heads can distinguish between theatre & reality. There has to be an outlet for men's testosterone overload other than warfare. It is a place to scream at the top of your lungs so not to do so in one's work place.
