‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens
And this mostly from the 'pro-life' bunch. Kind of puts things in perspective.
It’s very worrying that people see this type of event as “normal” and just something which, though regrettable, is unpreventable, and merely a hazard of everyday life in the USA. As a Brit I find this sort of unwillingness for Americans to face the fact that mass gun shootings are not normal in civilian society, quite incomprehensible. For civilians to think it normal or necessary for them to own and carry guns is not normal, it may have been necessary to bear arms at the time when the US constitution was written, but in the 21st century it is surely an anachronism.
They care more about their guns than they do about other people. It's an unnatural and unhealthy attachment.
It is all about power and the need to feel powerful. A gun is the power of life and death, what greater power is there than that, it might set you among the gods.
