Seems like the number of homicides in 2020 is fewer then 2019. It will be interesting to see the stats in 2021. I would imagine the frustration of the pandemic will lead to more gun violence and (at least here in Washington) more gun control laws.
@SeaGreenEyez There is a very interesting program on PBS titled "Philly DA." It is a reality show that follows the new DA in Philadelphia. This city has the highest homicide rate in the country and the highest juvenile incarceration rate in the world. The 'normal' reaction has been simply more cops and prisons. A new DA wants to change that but is met with a lot of criticism from the local FOP (fraternity of police). It's sends a strong message of what's wrong with our 'justice' system. Worth watching.
