I have heard constantly from the gun lobby "All you need is a good guy with a gun". Well there were several "good guys with guns" in Texas . So much for that argument.
Believe me, they would not be willing to give up their quality of life!

@racocn8 I don't know about salary, but having lived in Canada I do know about the piece of mind afforded by reasonable gun control regulation.
And as far as I'm concerned, we will find our future mass murderers among those who oppose reasonable gun control regulation now.
