If I understand this meme correctly, I see several problems with it. I think the meaning of this meme is to arm the intended victims, similar to the statement that a well armed society is a safer society. First, the person committing the crime always benefits from the element of surprise. The second is that the gun of the intended victim can always be taken away and used against them. Another thing is that more guns in the hands of more people has only lead to the u.s. having one of the worst gun crime and gun related death rates in the world. If more guns were the answer, why did the NRA ban guns from their rally recently during the time that Pence was there? With so many guns Pence should have been in the safest place in America just then. But the NRA knows that is bullshit. More guns means more sales for the gun manufacturers and more money for the NRA themselves. We've got to stop this ridiculous idea that more guns makes us safer. The answer is to pass some serious gun restrictions and then make serious penalties for having guns that are illegal and violating gun laws. I'm talking years behind bars just for having an illegal gun even if it hadn't been used. Then the felon will fear the police and the jury and judge. Treat guns like cars, register them, require insurance on them, etc. It would be good to require hours of safety classes before a gun purchase is made. These and other measures would certainly decrease gun crime in this country.
The felon always gets the drop on the victim. The felon must be taught to fear proven crime prevention.
Nraspeak. Wonder who is getting paid? On a reality check... I used to had an uncle that his only "rap sheet" was 3 deaths on 3 separate shooting incidents. All self defense. He still served prison time for possession and use of the weapons. Once the first incident, his reputation was real... he was willing to use a gun and knew how to use it so the escalation was hollywood old west style. He used to tell me "I had only fired a gun 4 times. I just wish the first one would had never happened. My life would had been very different." And that was as honest as sweat of a hard working man.
