I have been registered for a long time. However, to me, the thing that is as important as voting is to be aware of the issues and people. If one is uncertain about something, please don't vote for it. A coin toss vote is counterproductive to our system. BTW, I just received my mail in ballot and for the office of Senator there are 30 candidates. There are 5 Democrats, 13 Republicans, 5 Independents and various others (one from the StandupAmerica party?) They want to unseat Maria Cantwell, a long term Democrat with a proven track record.

I vote! I was once filmed by the local news voting in a minor election, despite the fact that I held my hand up like I was under indictment.

Since age 18, I have voted in every election as a Democrat.

Last April with two other volunteers, we registered 74 high school seniors during four lunch hours. The high school set up tables and chairs for us to use. As volunteer college mentors at the high school, we have background checks done.

"Register to VOTE!" I yelled, waving and dancing around with a big smile. "It takes TWO MINUTES! Right here at these tables! The media says you will not vote. PROVE them wrong!"

We will do it again in September and early October 2018.
