Good idea.
The joke is funny in quite a sexist way because the same joke told switching genders wouldn't get a laugh out of the gun crowd; but on the other hand it minimalizes the effect that guns have on our society and how it seems that men feel they have the right to hold women as property and fend off any usurpers.
