Pissed Off Hunters Are Ready for Real Gun Control Despite the NRA
[vice.com]
I used to own a .22 and have always enjoyed target shooting. While in the military, I had the opportunity to fire some heavier caliber weapons and qualified on 9mm and M14. To my understanding, LaPierre has damaged the reputation of gun ownership, making it appear to be purely a purely a fear-driven enterprise, more interested in being a PAC than serving broader interests of gun owners and the community at large.
I'm in Missouri in a small town. Since Trump was elected we now have a gun store pushing flags and your Constitutional rights. Everything around here is GOP. I keep hearing that the Dems are coming after your guns. When Obama was president I always heard "Obama is coming after your guns." (I think they forgot to tell Obama.) Maybe we are getting a few sane people now.
I'm not a hunter but I have hunted. I am not a shooter but I used to be in my youth.
I am not a hunter but I love target shooting. I used to be a member of the NRA until Wayne LaPierre came on the scene. I immediately quit and won't go back. The NRA must certainly know if they don't bend a little on common sense gun legislation that they will break completely. I have several ARs, 9mms, .45s, .22s, and shotguns of all flavors. I feel there is a need to regulate some areas a little better. But they need to enforce what is on the books already.
Apparently there are at least a few rational people in nearly every group.
