Of course some dufus writes a piece and all the wannabe gun nuts swallow it hook-line and sinker. Fewer guns in people's hands mean fewer shootings. When the number of guns are reduced at the level in Australia naturally it will make a big + difference, DUH!

They still have a bit of gun violence but, not one mass shooting since the Port Arthur massacre over 20 years ago. The government nipped it in the bud as soon as it happened and didn't wait for it to continue to happen before they did something about it. Are there any Aussies in here that would agree?

I have family in Australia and went to visit them for almost three weeks this summer for the first time. Watched the news almost every night. And guess what? No reports of mass shootings, gang shootings, domestic violence involving guns or cops being shot. It was awesome. One day my cousin and I were walking on a boardwalk when a couple of bicycle cops passed us. And he asked me, "have you noticed that the cops around here don't have guns?". I said that I had noticed that wherever we went. (I work at a PD). Then he said, "you know why?.........because we aren't at bloody war with ourselves!" I would move there in a heartbeat if I could.
