Apparently gun safety isn't a pre-requisite before possessing a firearm, in police training. smh
It has been shown that possessing a gun can change how one thinks. There has been ample evidence of this and this is just another example.
Interesting aside regarding the shooter in San Diego. I read he was a Iraqi veteran who suffered from PTSD. Why do we allow people who have a mental condition they get compensated for to have a gun. Some will say because he is a vet which should have nothing to do with owning a weapon and being mentally incapacitated. I also read that a couple said that god was looking after them as they came late and avoided the carnage (who's dumber the shooter or a potential victim?) At a gathering we held recently about guns and in which some gun owners showed up a comment was made by one who has and knows about guns about the AR-15 used in the shooting. He said this was a cheap gun but was full of problems and not dependable. The report said the gun jammed otherwise more would have been shot.
