It just keeps piling up against the gun companies. Their position has become increasingly untenable. Now BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager is asking gun companies questions about their products. It goes further to say that it's exploring ideas for portfolios that excludes gun companies.
I have an IRA with a non-profit and they offer what is know as social choices. This means no investments that include, tobacco, gold and other things some of us don't want to support. Now, it seems the major investments groups are being told that investments in gun companies may be problematic. Lets hit these crazies, where it hurts, in the pocketbook. I am including a link which has a side comment about how the NRA has turned into a media company, which is also starting to be challenged.
If it's not too personal, may I ask who you're working with? As a small business owner, I'll take all of the financial investment advice I can get, but I want to invest in SRIs. Thank you!
TIAA-Cref. Originally for workers in the educational field but it has opened up to others the last few years. They have been very good for me and the reason for puling out had nothing to do with the investment group.
Good stuff.
I sent another comment in that I have closed all my IRA accounts. I have always had a problem in dealing with the Stock Market. One reason I moved to an island was to become more self-sufficient and not need as much money to get by. I know that is not an option for many.
