Interesting opinion piece on Millennials, Gen Xers and the 2020 election. (It's now 36,000 people a year killed by gun violence, over 100,000 more are shot & injured. In the category of "could be prevented" gun deaths are only topped by 40,000 people that die because they have no access to basic health care.)
@SeaGreenEyes my reply button is not working. Sometimes one needs a break from depressing news especially when gains are small and losses big. I have been there done that to a point I couldn't sleep. I took up meditating and chilling especially at night. Found some books that are light and sometimes silly. Bill Bryson's books are often just the medicine. "A walk in the Woods" is one.
@SeaGreenEyez Just remember, when your health goes you are of no benefit to anyone. Just like when traveling by plane and you get the spiel about the masks. Take care of yourself first.
Whenever this issue pops up in my feed, I'm compelled to share a great comment made by B.H.O. in 2016;
Unbelievable!
@SeaGreenEyez Take a break as needed. There's no good news here.
@SeaGreenEyez Bad News Media Fatigue is Very Real... You Are Too Good of a Person!!!! We will keep the Light On for You!!!! You Had Earned Our Respect. Take a Well Deserved Break!!!!
