In the category of "could be prevented" gun deaths are only topped by 40,000 people that die because they have no access to basic health care.)

Sometimes one needs a break from depressing news especially when gains are small and losses big. I have been there done that to a point I couldn't sleep. I took up meditating and chilling especially at night. Found some books that are light and sometimes silly. Bill Bryson's books are often just the medicine. "A walk in the Woods" is one.
