Who here is interested in actually doing something to get assault weapons off the street? Nothing to dangerous and absolutely nothing illegal. Illegal makes things worse not better, you lose all credibility. No reflection on you either way, don't say anything, send me a private message, whatever. Typing messages back and forth doesn't actually do anything and innocent people are still dying.
There are marches happening all over the country this month. I'm attending one in my city. I have also written to my representatives and encouraged my friends to do the same. I bought t-shirts for the march. The proceeds go to the student survivors in Florida. I've donated some. Not sure what else I can do, but I am VERY open to suggestions.
We need to come together as a group. Everybody with the same message. Enough people and we don't need Washington. Enough people can put enough pressure on suppliers to get them to stop dealing in assault weapons without laws or bans, but we have to have big numbers of people all saying the same time. There are over 300 million people in this country, just 10% is 30 million people. 1 person in 10 spreading the same message is all we need.
Mike, the students in Florida are organizing the Marches. It's not just about Washington. It's about awareness. Tell other voters, businesses, and the NRA itself that we are DONE. NO MORE. You might want to contact the people organizing the march closest to you to find out what you can do.
Believe me I'm doing what I can just short of infiltrating them
