Gun raffels are nothing new. I participated in one for the fire department (they had three). I was in another one. Can't remember what that was one for. At least they do a background check. I've seen MANY times where there is nothing more than an exchange of cash at a gun show. Plus if you are legally allowed to own one, a family member can gift one to you.
I was at a bbq where a friend of my B-I-L was trying to sell off an extra 9 mm semi-automatic he had. Cash only, no paperwork.Irony was there was another relative of mine there who had been shot in a robbery by, you guessed it, a gun bought cash only, no paperwork
@RonWilliam53 Private sale is a bit of a grey area. Hell, I've seen people sell firearms at a bar! Twice!
@TheGreatShadow It's interesting that if you sell a car privately, or a house, you are still required to register it.
