No... AK-47 is russian made... licensed to China and other countries... That is an AR-15, the Civilian version of the Military M-16.
@GipsyOfNewSpain and m-4. The ar-15 was designed in 1955 by ugene stoner. You are missing my point.
@TheGreatShadow Still is the Civilian version of the M-16... M-16 is fully automatic... You do can convert an AR-15 into a fully automatic but is Illegal. AR-15 is semi automatic. If you are calling the Romaine leaf AK-47 I did missed your point... I am sorry.
@GipsyOfNewSpain AK-47 was the weapon of choice for mass shootings. Some of the originals were select. Mine is. Aand most m-16 or m-4s are three shot.
@TheGreatShadow AK-47 was based on the German design of the Assault Rifle. Russia made it more sturdy, less complicated, easy on maintenance. A durable, dependable piece of killing machinery. Still around after many years of service.
