I remember a cartoon that appeared in a European newspaper years ago. It was when we bombed Libya and Qaddafi swore revenge on the military in Europe. The cartoon showed a guy at a U.S. travel agency and saying to the agent "I don't know about going to Europe, it is too dangerous there". On the outside of the shop was mugger holding a gun to a person.
This actually affected us in that my former partner had bought her sister (who lived in Detroit of all places) a ticket to visit us in Germany. At the last minute the sister got cold feet after her mother convinced her how dangerous it was. We lost our ticket money and my partner was really pissed.
My 7-Eleven around the corner was turned into a gun shop-haven't been in there since-lol
