Well it's happened again, Maryland high school, fortunately no fatalities this time(gunman don't count) just 2 students hurt. This isn't a joke here, people are dying.
It will continue. I am waiting for the time it happens in a private school which prayer is allowed. One big problem is the number of students. The higher the number the greater the risk of problems.
One other factor: private schools can, and do, kick kids out. Frequently. Public schools take 'em all.
@Dick_Martin In fact right after the latest shooting there was a local (Everett WA) case where a kid was discovered plotting a shooting (he was turned in by his grandmother). The school was relatively small, 200 students, and was a school for kids that were having trouble in school. This kid was completely under the wire and was armed when approached.
I understand the shooter was killed by a school cop. That counts as a death.
Remember the Columbine shooting? Remember how people created a bunch of memorials for the children who died? Those memorials included the two shooters - who also died.
I have a friend who's a gun-loving physician. He thinks having more school cops is the solution because of what happened today. I think he's a dumb-ass. His idea is that today's event was a success: 2 children injured and one dead. As long as the one who died did the shooting. MY SOLUTION is different: no guns, nobody shot, nobody dead.
